It’s Mine Time To Shine! Style It Up!

Summer in the city and no vacations for you? You want  interesting outfit, for your job? Our columnist Dunja created a styling for you!

Leave the jeans hanging in your closet for a few days and jump into a nice floral dress or a stunning elegant skirt! When it comes to colors, you have a wide specter of gorgeous shades that you can pick from. However, this time I decided on some more neutral & natural colors, for all of you who are not fans of yellow, green, red and other bright and look-at-me colors. When putting this outfit together, I was picturing myself going on a business lunch or interview, holding a seminar or taking over the spotlight of someone else. Mean? Maybe, but give this outfit a chance! Who can be sweet and innocent when looking like this? Be honest now, ladies!

I fell in love with this taupe sheer silk blouse with two breast flap pockets! It’s simple but stunning; the clean lines and loose material makes this blouse perfect for combining jeans trousers and high waist skirts. This Phillip Lim blouse has a round neck, long sleeves with button-fastening cuffs, a curved hem, a concealed button-fastening front placket and simply slips on. Can you tell that it’s 100% silk?

I adore this khaki color and that decent glow that silk has on the sun. You have to be careful with blazers and jackets that you wear over this blouse not to wrinkle it. My advice – choose a taupe sheer merino wool and cashmere-blend cardigan with tiered cream ruffles at side vents and back hem. Soft and cuddly, a Phillip Lim cardigan has a V-neck, long sleeves, two front pouch pockets and buttons to fasten through front. The material is 70% merino wool and 30% cashmere – a treat for your skin! This shade color is called wheat and I love how it can be matched with almost any other color.

These two items would look really good on long and dark skinny jeans – however, they would look even better on a brown pleated skirt like this by Diane von Furstenberg!

Rework classic style with this brown pleated distressed leather wrap skirt. It’s perfect for cooler days; we say opt for a smart-casual look – you can also pair it with, let’s say, a DVF top and coat, a Chloe bag and Maxmara shoe-boots. This skirt is absolutely fabulous and I guarantee that you’d love it! And now… Prepare yourself… Ready? OK… Check out these heavenly sandals – dark-brown croc-embossed leather and stone canvas sandals with a heel that measures approximately 4.5 inches. Elizabeth and James sandals have an open toe, a lace-up front and side cutout detail. Tell me you feel nothing when you look at them.

And lets complete the outfit with a leather satchel by Warehouse , featuring a flap front with twin pin buckle detail straps, a grab handle, adjustable longline shoulder strap and an internal zip pocket. I would wear this outfit so many times it would probably become boring What do you think?
